Day3 @ 24hours in Dynamic Busan (Part 2)

After a rejuvenated break, we move on to the next destination, Yongdusan Park.  On the way to Yongdusan, we strolled down the main street of Nampodong. Nampodong is a well known shopping paradise for all branded and imported luxury items.

Yongdusan park is a popular landmark for Busan. It is popular with the Busan observatory tower where you can have a bird-eye view of Busan. Yongdusan park is accessible by escalator, an easy way to reach the famous mountain in Busan :)

There is a big wooden stage in the park for performances. Yes! We were lucky enough as there is a traditional music performance that day :)

Busan observatory tower is one of the MUST SEE things in Busan. This 120 metres high towel offers stunning view of Busan city.

I was amazed by the paranomic view at  first glance. I felt reluctant to leave this magnificent place although we had already spent around 1 hour in the cafe of the tower.

On the first floor of the tower, there is a souvenir shops that sells Korean traditional handicrafts such as mask, pottery, dolls and more.

There is a photo kiosk in the park. Do have a try! :)

The performances on the wooden stage started! The performance area was crowded with audience, most of them were Koreans.

Time flew! Night was approaching. Nampodong street is so beautiful with the glittering neon lights.

There were lots of golden statues along the streets for photos. Say cheese! :)

A very unique way to advertise products in the middle of the busy roundabout. Cool!!

What a coincidence that we found this very cute area, Art street in Kukje underground shopping center. The shops closed but we enjoyed taking shots of all the cutie things from the window :D

We came back to Busan station to catch a bus from Busan station to Gwangali beach. Busan station was dazzling at night. The lighting curves you see here will change its colour every minutes.

The bus stop was easily spotted in front of Busan station. From Busan station, you can take city bus No. 41,42,140,239,240,139 and get off at Gwangalli beach. We walked around 20 minutes to reach Gwangalli beach. Thus, I think subway will be a better choice as you need to walk only 5 minutes after you alight at Gwangan station.

Gwangalli beach is more like a city beach as it is surrounded with tall buildings. This unique beach is different from the beach we have in Malaysia. Perhaps Gwangalli is a more beautiful beach at night than it is during the day. From the glittering neon light of the buildings to the dazzling diamond bridge, Gwangalli beach simply shines at night. We had a wonderful night by sitting on the fine sand beach, enjoyed the breeze with beautiful night view under a full moon. So relaxing. Everything will be perfect if there is a fireworks.

Gwangalli beach comes alive when the night falls. Cafe and bars along the beachfront are the tourist favourite place to hang out.

Summer of Busan is full of festivals, Busan largest sea festival is held from 1-9 August 2012. That's the reason Busan was so crowded when we were there.

Gwangalli beach was so happening even if it is late at night. Street artists, food stalls, accessories stalls are found a long the seaside.

Our late night dinner (or supper?), Korean style fried chicken with Kimchi at Gwangalli beach. Big tummy was waiting for us!
