Day 4 @ 24 hours in Dynamic Busan (Part3)

Busan looks even charming at night with the glittering neon of the shopping district.  We felt reluctant to return to the hotel although it was already11.30 pm. Nevertheless, we were worried about the transport as we were heading to Yeongdo-gu island, a beautiful island with magnificent cliff facing the sea. As it was too late, we took a taxi  from Nampodong to Yeongdo-gu island:) It costed us KRW 7000 for a 20 minutes ride.

This time, we chose Good Stay beach motel for our night in Busan. The Good Stay logo is the Korea Tourism Organization's promise of reliable and affordable accommodation.  Only motels and inns with good facilities and operations can receive Good Stay endorsement. With the promises, travelers don't have to worry about the motel quality. I am so glad that I don't have to search and compare the motel like what I did for my trips before, especially for Taiwan. It saved me a lot of time! Great job, KTO! :)

Beach motel is only 10 minutes walk to the famous sunrise location of Taejongdae. If you are lazy to walk out for sunrise, you can even have a sunrise view from your bed! So cool! Besides, the room has an amazing view overlooking the ocean. With little money spent, you get a five star facilities and view. Really worth the money!

August 2012 was the Olympic season, we enjoyed Korean version of Olympic broadcast  in the comfortable motel in the midnight ^.^

Tiny hint of orange appeared in the sky. Shortly after the fiery ball of enchantment came out over the horizon. It was gorgeous! We enjoyed this breathtaking scene  from our bed! The feeling was so AWESOME!

A great day started with a wonderful sunrise. We had a morning walk to Taejongdae park for beautiful sea view. Yuhoo!

Unique architecture shop houses along the street.

Yeah! We reached the most popular tourist spot in Busan ~ Taejongdae! But a bad news for us, the Danubi train would only start at 9.30am. That was two hours away, so we decided to go for breakfast at the restaurant nearby. There were a row of Korean food restaurants and convenience stores near the park entrance.

Free flow of side dishes. Eat all you can! ^.-

Here's come our Jeongol (Seafood steamboat) in Busan. Various fresh seafood were immersed in spicy and sour soup - octopus, urchin, prawn, cuttle fish, fish, vegetable, mushroom, crab. It's just nice to have a warm and hot soup in the cold morning. The portion was too large for two person though.

There were already a long queue when we reached the ticket counter for danubi train. We started to worry about our KTX train at 12pm. The train runs every 30 minutes before 11am. The danubi train will past some monuments, light house, observatory tower and also the cliffs. You can hop on and off in every stop freely. Just keep your ticket well so that you could hop on to the next train. We couldn't do so due to time constraint. That was a disappointment for us as we were so keen to see the beautiful cliff by the sea. You have to hop on the train and have some walk to reach the cliff.

Observatory tower

Yee Pei's pororo on Danubi train!:)

We felt woeful to miss the spectacular cliff view by the sea. We promised ourselves we will make it on our next trip to Korea :)

As an advice, if long queue presents at the danubi train station, you can walk along the edge of the park which is not too long.

Luckily, we were in time to rush back to Seoul station for the 12pm KTX, what a relief :P There are numerious Busan city tour buses right in front of the Busan station. If you wish to enjoy all the tourist attractions at the easy way, have a try on Busan City Tour :)

The last meal we had in Busan ~ Busan Odeng (Busan fishcake). This could be regarded as the best food I had in Busan. Slurp! The fish cake was fresh and yummy! The fish cakes are pierced with a long skewers and kept in a hot broth. You can dip it with sauce too. It's just a Korean version of  "LOK LOK", count the stick and make the payment after you are done. Only 1000KRW-1500KRW each! Remember to take a cup of broth on the go :)

KTX with cart service. Thumb up! ^.^

This is what we bought from the friendly KTX stuff - Crunchy biscuit.

With that, we ended our wonderful 24 hours Busan trip :)
