As title, life is just like ice cream, You won't know when will it melts. So we have to keep enjoying before it melts. Cherish everyday is very important. Once i read the quote below, and I am trying to apply it as long as i can.
# Takes each day as its come, life is stressful enough,
Do not look back and grieve over the past, there is nothing you can do about it.
Do not worry about the future, as it is yet to be come.
As long as it is called today, cherish it!#
How come i am so sentimental today?:D I just watch a youtube video about the last lecture given by a professor who was diagnosed a pancreatic cancer, professor Randy Pausch. He explores his life, the lessons that he has learned, how he worked to achieve his childhood dreams and etc in 1 hour 16 minutes talk. Honestly, i can't understand all of the contents as he spoke with very fluent English. Anyway, i bought his book few days back. I am on the way to finish up his book:)
What inspire me is the way he response to his sickness. From his talk, you can't see any of the sign that he was going to die in 3-6 months time. He was so energetic, humorous, happy and handsome :P
Here, i will share some of his quotes that i like.
** Experience is what you get when you didn't get what you wanted.
**When you see yourself doing something badly and nobody's bothering to tell you
anymore, that's a very bad place to be. Your critics are the ones telling you they still
love you and care.
**Wait long enough and people will surprise and impress you.
He said, when you are pissed off at somebody, and you're angry at them, you just haven't given
them enough time. Just give them a little more time — and they'll almost always impress you. (I
think i got to be patient enough to wait until the day my students surprise and impress me. ha.)
**The best gift an educator can give is to get someone to become self reflective.
(agree!! I'll feel proud of myself if my student are able to)
**Tell the truth and Apologize when you screw up.
**Don't complain; just work harder.
(hmm...i think i must tell this to one of my colleague that keep complaining
about our students and our school).
- Be good at something. It makes you valuable.
- Find the best in everybody.
- Be earnest.
- "You obviously don't know where the bar should be, and you're only going to do a
disservice by putting it anywhere."

I think the most important things from his lecture is being optimist always. If you think you can, YOU CAN! Besides, leading your life to the right way is never just about you, Its about you and the people around you. Parents played a important role.
My tears dancing in my eye after watching this video clips. Touched. Really salute him! For this talk, he had to flew to Pittsburgh on her wife birthday and it might be the last birthday he got chance to celebrate with his wife. (knew this from his book, he didn't mention in his talk at all, but he did celebrate a day before with his wife).
